Hope is a game that chronicles my experiences moving into, and then out of, the games industry. In this micro walking-sim I share my experiences dealing with that process and where I am today.
This game was inspired entirely through the work of Olivia Haines, who's game Terracotta really struck a chord with me when I played it. I felt an urgency to talk about some of the processes I had maybe not quite got over, and the process of creating this experience really helped me unpack that.
2020 has been a tough year on all of us. There's been an uneasy anxiety rippling through all of us to some extent.
At the same time we have seen the rise in a number of extremely important humanitarian issues around race, gender and sexuality. It is important to have these voices heard. My personal experiences pale in comparison to those of other people in our community but I felt now, in our time of collective out-pouring if emotion I could share this personal story with you all.
